Nuestro pequeño espacio, ubicado en la calle Sol 156, fue una parte de la residencia de Pedro Albizu Campos y lugar de reuniones del Partido Nacionalista Puertorriqueño en el Viejo San Juan. Albizu fue la figura más relevante e importante en la lucha por la independencia de nuestro país durante la primera mitad del siglo pasado. The Mezzanine, además de promover el arte culinario y la coctelería creativa y local, desea mantener el legado de tan importante e histórico lugar con archivos, fotos e información. De este modo, nuestro espacio se torna más allá de una coctelería, un museo de la historia de lucha y resistencia de nuestro país.

Our intimate space, located at 156 Sol Street, was part of the residence of Pedro Albizu Campos and a meeting place for the Puerto Rican Nationalist Party in Old San Juan. Albizu was the most relevant and important figure in the fight for the independence of our country during the first half of the last century. The Mezzanine, in addition to promoting creative and local culinary art and cocktails, wants to maintain the legacy of such an important and historic place with archives, photos and information. In this way, our space becomes more than a cocktail bar, a museum of the history of struggle and resistance in our country.
